Obituary

Jonah Miller age 92, formerly of Medford and Revere, beloved husband of the late Helen (Cantor) Miller died at the Atria Marland Place in Andover January 30, 2017. Born in Boston the son of the late Samuel and Ida (Karmazin) Miller. Raised and educated in Boston he attended Boston Latin School. Jonah served with the United States Army Air Corps during WWII.
He was a long time resident of Revere and Medford. He worked as a master plumber and was a member of the Knights of Pythias Bellingham Lodge #53, a member of the DOKK’S, a Freemason with Mt. Carmel Lodge of Lynn and Temple Shalom of Medford.
Jonah is survived by his three loving children Daryll Miller of Frederick, MD, Bonnie Levy and her husband Harry of Billerica, Kevin Miller and his wife Eunice of Salem, NH, his grandchildren Arthur and Katy Miller, Samuel Miller, Aron and Lucas Levy and his great grandchild Lucy Helen Miller, sister and brother in law Marlene and Alan Rubin, and many adoring nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Beatrice Shillman, Eliot Miller, Gertrude Miller and Jack Miller.
His funeral service will be held from the Torf Funeral Chapel 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea, Thursday, February 2nd at 12PM. Interment in New Tifereth Israel of Winthrop Cemetery, Everett. Memorial observance following burial at the home of Bonnie Levy until 9PM with minyan at 7:30PM, continuing Friday from 1-4PM, Saturday 7-9PM, minyan at 7:30PM, & Sunday 1-5PM.Contributions in his memory may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital 300 Longwood Ave. Boston, MA 02215.
