WEST SPRINGFIELD – Gary P. Bshara, 48, of West Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Friday, January 27, 2017. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on May 17, 1968, a beloved son of Geraldine “Geri” (Demos) Bshara of West Springfield and the late Philip Bshara who was Called Home on January 20, 1995. He was raised in West Springfield, graduated West Springfield High School and was a lifelong resident of West Springfield. He was the co-owner of B’Shara’s Family Restaurants. He was a member of the Lions Club in West Springfield. During his leisure time, Gary enjoyed traveling and visited many places including Greece and the Caribbean. Above all, Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and his many friends. In addition to his beloved mother, he leaves his loving brother, Paul M. Bshara of West Springfield; his loving sister, Dianne I. Izzo and her husband, Michael, of West Springfield; his cherished niece and nephew, Alexis M. Bshara and Joseph Philip Bshara; his dear uncle, George Bshara of Springfield and his partner, Diane; his dear aunt, Betty Demos Truschelli of Mahopac, NY; and his many dear cousins, numerous friends and extended members of the Bshara and Demos families. His funeral will be held on Thursday morning, February 2, 2017 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), which will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. His burial will follow the Service at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning, February 2, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the service.
