Mrs. Ann Jane (Schwolow) Crossan, beloved wife of Ralph S. Crossan, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was 86 years old. Mrs. Crossan, recently of North Andover, was a longtime Andover resident, and formerly of Medford.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she was the beloved daughter of the late Albert F. and Anna (St.Pierre) Schwolow. Mrs. Crossan was a devoted mother, and loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed painting oil on canvas. Mrs. Crossan volunteered for the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, a devotion she enjoyed for many years. Above all, Ann loved being with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her beloved husband, Ralph, she is survived by her loving children; Peter A. Crossan of Jamaica Plain, Dale R. Crossan of Avon Lake, Ohio and Laura J. and her husband Scott Van Ryswood of Eastham, grandchildren; Samuel W., Eleanor O., and Sarah M. Crossan, Conrad S. Otto A., and Tabor O. Van Ryswood, Jacob Crossan, and one great grandchild; Vanessa I. Van Ryswood.
Her Funeral Service will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Noon. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 10 to Noon. Interment will be privately held.
