Hanson – Sharon E. (Taylor) Kelley 77, formerly of Abington, died Saturday January 21 in Tufts Medical Center, Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard F. Kelley, Sr.
Born in Franklin, NH and raised in Weymouth she was the daughter of the late Weymouth R. and Dorothy I. (Sweatt) Taylor and a graduate of Weymouth High School, Class of 1958.
Prior to her move to Hanson in 2008, Sharon had been a resident of
Abington for over 26 years, where she and her husband Richard had raised their two children.
Before retiring, Sharon had worked for the Housekeeping Department of the Brockton Hospital.
She enjoyed scrapbooking which she had lovingly created and shared with her family!
She is survived by her children Cheryl Young and her husband Dale of Hanson and Richard Kelley, Jr of Maine, her siblings Janet Talbot and her husband Rick of FL, Joanne Holbrook of NH and Dennis Taylor and his wife Peggy of Whitman. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kelley Young, Michael Young, Taylor Kelley and Amanda Brown as well as two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter-in-law Alice Kelley.
Her funeral service will be held Friday January 27 at 10 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Marshfield Hills Cemetery, Marshfield. Visiting hours will be held Thursday January 26 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
