Obituary

Agnes M. Moynihan, age 75, of Dorchester, MA suddenly passed away January 17th in South Boston. Born in Albany, New York but South Boston and all the surrounding parts are what Agnes, (affectionately known as either Aggie or Do-Do), grew to love and call home. Agnes spent many years a bus driver for the MBTA but her true love was bartending. She was often greeted behind the bar wearing her contagious smile and continued working up until a few short years ago. Beloved partner of almost 18 years to Thomas Dwyer of Dorchester. Daughter to the late Agnes (Crowley) and Michael Hurley, Agnes is survived by her loving son John Moynihan and his wife Edel (Fox) Moynihan of Dublin, Ireland, five grandsons Eric Fox of Amsterdam, Holland, Kenny Moynihan, Robbie Moynihan, Jack Moynihan, Neil Moynihan, all of Dublin, Ireland, her two brothers Michael (Mickey) Hurley and his late wife Kathleen, James (Jimmy) Hurley and his wife Irish, as well a nieces and nephews all of Albany, New York, her loving late sister Eleanor (Ellie) Whelan – Huntington, her late brother-in-law Joseph Whelan her two nieces Kelly Whelan DiBacco and husband Mauro DiBacco of Rowley MA., Jane Whelan Iamele and husband Mark Iamele of Georgetown MA, her nephew John (Ned) Whelan and partner James (Jimmy) Sullivan of Marshfield MA., as well as her 6 nieces and nephews, cousins and her many close friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visiting 1-4 Sunday at the Alfred D Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave. Funeral Mass Monday at St Agatha Church, Milton at 10:30.
