New Bedford – Lorraine Britto, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at home. She was the loving wife of the late William M. Britto and the daughter of the late Squire and Mary (Kubic) Sunderland.
She was born in New Bedford, and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was homemaker to her loving family.
Her family includes 4 children: William M. Britto Jr. of New Bedford, Dorine Charamba and her husband Joseph of Taunton, Loretta Nguyen and her husband Dinh of Dartmouth, and Catherine Gibbons of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren: Brianne Charamba, David Parsons, Justin Parsons, Lorraine Burgo and Tammy Sylvia; 11 great grandchildren: Ariana, Isaiah, Gage, Trinity, Jasmine, Craig, Isidoro, Jayden, Gavin, Leah and Devon as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Johnny Sunderland, Barbara Gonsalves and Shirley Levine.
Her funeral will be Monday in the funeral home with calling hours from 8:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. with a service to begin at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA 02740.
