Obituary

Eugene J. Mochi, Jr., 75, of Medford died on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Formerly of Somerville and Arlington Heights, he was the son of the late Eugene and Evelyn (Picardi) Mochi. Eugene proudly served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War.

Eugene was the beloved husband of Cynthia G. (Luongo) Mochi, and the devoted and proud father of Gina A. DiMeo and her husband Ralph of Andover, Dante A. and Eugene J. Mochi, III of Medford. He was the loving grandfather (Mepa) of Audra Elena DiMeo, and the dear brother of Richard J. Mochi and his wife Hilary of Wakefield, and Evelyn (Mochi) Doran of Littleton. Eugene was the uncle of Richard Mochi of Medford and Ned Doran, Godfather of Christine (Huxley) O'Neill of Londonderry, NH, Richard Mochi of Medford, and Adam Vorsteveld of Bridport, VT. He is also survived by many cousins.

His electrical business consisted of Residential Commercial and Industrial work which also included installing fire and security systems. He was known as "Golden Hands" for whatever he touched he would be able to fix. A "Builder of Dreams" involving many aspects of building.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Parish, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, Saturday, January 21, at 1PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.
