WEST SPRINGFIELD – Leona R. (Gogan) Deblois, 92, of West Springfield and a former resident of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Friday, January 13, 2017. She passed into Eternal Life at Mount Saint Vincent Care Center in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Anson, Maine on September 26, 1924, a beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Eugenie (Gravel) Gogan. She moved to Springfield in the 1940’s where she lived until moving to West Springfield. She was a communicant of Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Armand J. Deblois who was Called Home on August 2, 1987; her loving son, Ronald A. Deblois; and her dear brothers and sisters, Anthony, Omer, Malcolm, Juliette, Jeannette, Theresa, Rita, and Antoinette. She leaves her loving children, Armand O. Deblois, Maurice A. Deblois, Normand P. Deblois and Patricia A. Abramowicz and her husband, Robert; her five cherished grandchildren, Sarah, Armand and Nathan Deblois, Ronald Deblois and Jessica Rodenhauser; her dear sister, Mildred Deblois; and her many dear nephews, nieces, friends and extended members of the Deblois and Gogan families. Her funeral will be held on Thursday morning, January 19, 2016 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street, West Springfield, MA 01089. Her burial will follow the Mass at Saint Thomas Cemetery, 420 Kings Highway, West Springfield, MA 01089.
