Sweazy, Kenneth Eugene, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his residence with family by his side.
He was born to Bernice and Martha Sweazy on July 14, 1930.
Kenneth worked for Churchill Downs, Keenland, and Louisville Downs before working 41 years for L&N Railroad, retiring in 1990.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Ann; a daughter, Rosemary Barber; and a grandson, Tyler Sweazy; a brother, B.R. Sweazy; and a sister.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, David (Janice), and Rick (Pam) Sweazy; three grandchildren, Jessica Bohlsen, Julie Herl, and Josh Barber; four great-grandchildren, Nolan and Hadley Bohlsen, Christopher and Bailie Herl; and a son-in-law, Frank Barber.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00AM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway; Entombment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation is Sunday 2:00-6:00PM.
