Obituary

Mrs. Eloise V. (Ham) Ricard – Coderre, of Wareham and formerly of Taunton, died Wednesday, January 11 in the Forestview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wareham, following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur H. Ricard and the late Raymond P. Coderre. She was born 93 years ago in Lisbon, Maine, the daughter of the late Frank and Lodema (Taylor) Ham. Eloise was educated in Lewiston, Maine, and had been a Taunton resident for 50 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been a self-employed daycare provider in Taunton for many years, as well as an au pair in France. She was previously employed at Reed and Barton Silversmiths and at Swank, Inc. She enjoyed knitting, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eloise not only loved unconditionally, but taught us how to love and have patience. Her generosity, kindness and warmth touched the hearts of anyone who had the privilege of meeting her.

She leaves: 1 sister: Jeannette Johnson of Florida; 4 grandchildren: Arthur H. Ricard, III, Michael S. Ricard, Paul Ricard, and Tammy White; 3 daughters-kin-law: Esther, Julie, and Marion; 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. Eloise was also the mother of the late Arthur H. Ricard, Jr. of Lakeville, and sister of the late Clayton Ham.

Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sebbatus, Maine. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton is assisting Eloise’ family with the funeral arrangements.
