New Bedford – Alice "Nana" Santos, age 95, passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at Care One of New Bedford. She was the loving wife of the late Manuel Santos and the daughter of the late Ephraim and Clara (Gervais) Lareau.
She was born in New Bedford, was a lifelong resident of this area and worked for Hallmark Nursing Home as a Housekeeper.
Her family includes a daughter, Brenda Cormier-Riley and her husband, Raymond, of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren: David John Cormier and his wife, Sharon, of California, Dustin Todd Cormier and his wife, Tina of Acushnet and Michelle Lynn Cormier of New Bedford; 4 great grandchildren: Shanika and Sharia Cormier of California, and Bailey and Benjamin Cormier of Acushnet; a sister, Hilda Berube of Taunton; as well several loving and devoted nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Santos will be cremated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church in New Bedford on Saturday January 21 at 9:00 A.M. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church.
