Alma T. Santoro died peacefully on Monday at Tufts Medical Center. She was 91. Born and raised in Medford she was the daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Fantini) Marchetti. Alma was born in the same home she lived in all of her life. A devoted wife and mother she was proud of having been a teller with the Malden Savings Bank. A dear friend and neighbor to many, she will be missed by all who knew her.
The beloved wife of the late Paul J. Santoro, she was a devoted mother to Paula Santoro of Medford and John “Jack” Santoro and his wife Eileen of Naples, Fla. She leaves her loving grandchildren, Paul "PJ" Santoro and Victoria "Tori" Santoro. Alma was the dear sister of the late Yolanda Silvio and Vera Pallotta.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday January 13th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home, Thursday 4 - 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alma’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
