Jean (Stackhouse) Magaletta of Somerville, formerly of Everett passed away on January 9th at the Armenian Nursing Home in Jamaica Plain. She was 90.
The beloved wife of the late Michael A. Magaletta, she was a dear daughter of the late James and Margaret (Shay) Stackhouse. She was a devoted friend of Mary-Jo Arn and Ken Heinrich of Boston. A very positive person, Jean was a retired teacher with Boston Public Schools who taught until she was 80 years old. She earned her Master’s Degree in 1977 from Boston State College. She taught at the Ida G. Krebs School for Learning Disabled Children in Lexington and for most of her career she taught students at the Mattahunt School in Mattapan.
A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, January 12th at 1 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, 302 Elm Street, Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
