Obituary

J. Paul R. “Marty” Marois, 86, of Worcester died Monday, January 9th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife, Shirley R. Handy; a son, Jim L. Marois and his wife, Patricia of Worcester; a daughter, Denise J. Lecuyer and her husband, James of Worcester; two grandchildren, Jessica Marois and James Marois; and a great grandson, Brady Paul.
He was born in Worcester the son of Isidore and Cora (Gaudette) Marois and graduated from Mount St. Charles Academy in Woonsocket, RI where he played hockey. Marty worked for Dauphinais Concrete Inc. for many years as truck driver, retiring in 1997 and also worked as a heavy equipment operator for Marois Brothers for several years. He was a veteran of the United State Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. Paul enjoyed the time he spent with family and close friends.
His funeral is Friday, January 13th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM in the funeral home.
