Beatrice (Dupont) Medeiros, age 93 of East Taunton, passed away on January 9, 2017 in her home with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel A. Medeiros.
Beatrice was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Mary (Camara) Dupont.
Mrs. Medeiros was a loving and caring person who enjoyed sunsets, vacations in New Hampshire, and spending time watching the waves in Plymouth Bay. In earlier years, Beatrice provided day care for many children.
She is survived by her children, Alan Medeiros and wife Linda, Sharon Tweedy and husband David both of Taunton, Sandra Cason and Susan Medeiros both of East Taunton. She was also the grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 7, sister of Esther Covel of Carver, and was the sister of the late David Dupont, Mary Couto, Willy Phillips, Louisa Odle and the late Nancy Macomber.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10 am in Seventh-Day Adventist Church 109 Winthrop St., Taunton. Interment will follow in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 12th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at St. Mary’s Square) in Taunton.
