Lena M. (Geraci) Pothier, age 102, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. A long time resident of Medford, MA, as well as Reading, MA, and Bow, NH, she was the daughter of Charles and Anna (Demma) Geraci and the loving spouse of Roland G. Pothier who predeceased her. She will be deeply missed by her three children, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren; her love and guidance has spread from New England all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
Lena is survived by her daughter Anne (Pothier) Riley and son-in-law, Joe Riley, of Bow, NH; her son, Bob Pothier, of Warner, NH, formerly of Andover, MA; and her son, Jerry Pothier, and daughter-in-law, Sandra (Orlando) Pothier, of Reading, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Beth (Riley) Dye and her husband, David Dye, of Frisco, TX; Mark Riley and his wife, Jennifer (Walker) Riley, of Bow, NH; Robert Pothier and his wife, Brenda (Cheney) Pothier, of Bradford, MA; Matthew Pothier and his wife, Carri (Collins) Pothier, of Ewa Beach, HI; Christopher Pothier and his wife, Katherine (Ardvison) Pothier, of The Dalles, OR; Jeffrey Pothier of Warner, NH; Gregory Pothier and his wife, Lindsay McDonald, of Portland, OR; Jason Pothier and his fiancé, Michelle Lemieux, of Las Vegas, NV; David Pothier of Reading, MA (Lena's daily Family Feud partner); and Rachel Pothier of Reading, MA. Lena is also survived by her great grandchildren, Katie and Abby Pothier of Ewa Beach, HI; Axel, Ian, and Zachary Pothier of The Dalles, OR; Jason Pothier Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; Weston and Riley Dye of Frisco, TX; Annabelle and Wilder Riley of Concord, NH; and Lucien and Julien Pothier of Bradford, MA; her special friends, Susan Tasker of Woburn, MA, Elaine Regan of North Reading, MA, and Ken Barrett of North Reading, MA.
In addition to her late husband and parents, Lee is also preceded in death by her sisters; Mary Geraci, Lillian Rancatore, Kay Coppolla and Anne Giovino.
The family would like to thank Youville Courtyard Memory Unit, especially Mal Allard, Lin Kelleher, Marie Lotin, and all the loving staff at Youville. The family would also like to thank the staff at Lahey Hospital, Seventh Floor East Wing, and the staff at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA, especially Angela Chang. Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Thursday, January 12th, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
