DiIorio, Elizabeth Catherine (McNeil) 86 years, old passed away on Saturday January 07, 2017. She was beloved wife of Edward DiIorio of Dedham for 62 years. She was born in Norwood Ma daughter of late Sylvester and Lillian McNeil. She was a graduate of Norwood High School and later attended Fisher Junior College where she graduated with an associated degree in business. Her brother Sylvester McNeil predeceased her; She has three surviving sisters, Evelyn (McNeil) Flynn Hudson NH, Lillian (McNeil) and James Lynch of Walpole Ma, Judith (McNeil) and Richard Guisti Walpole Ma, and one brother Gerald and Carolyn (Bilotta) McNeil of Mansfield. Family was always a big part of (Liz’s) life. She was devoted mother to her Son, Edward M. DiIorio wife Cynthia (Simmons) DiIorio and daughter Michele (DiIorio) Duplisea husband David Duplisea. Liz was very proud of her five grandchildren, Keith and Kristina Duplisea, Kristen (DiIorio) Isola, Liana (DiIorio) Delaney, Tiffany DiIorio. Liz was over joyed to have been a Great Grandmother to Logan Isola, Luca Isola, and Declan Delaney.

Liz was an Aunt to many adoring nieces and nephews. Liz was also involved with her local parish-administering communion to those who could not attend mass as well as a Eucharistic minster. She was also a volunteer with the first communion class for several years. She was member of her local bowling league in her early years. She was an avid oil painter who loved to attend classes. She was a wonderful knitter and also enjoyed crochet as well and there are many family members who were lucky to have been given a blanket or two for Christmas. Liz had a brief career in Dedham politics. One of the many past times was for her was to go to the beach or visit one of her sister pools for a swim, or she just enjoy sitting out side. She loved to cook but especially enjoyed baking and giving away her sweets to anyone who came to visit, and then you were assured a tin container of her latest creations.
