Mrs. Nancy Reece Redd, beloved wife of Mr. Jerry Redd, entered into rest on Thursday, January 5, 2015 at Emory Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Tobin Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Redd was an employee of Augusta Overhead Door for over 29 years. She and her husband spent time dancing and traveling and loved to go on cruises together.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, she is survived by her son; Jerry D. Redd and wife, Julie, her daughters; Amy Redd and June Benson and husband, Chuck, who was her favorite son in law. She is also survived by a brother; Jimmy Powell and wife, Debbie, her grandchildren; Rebecca Martin, Hannah Cochran, Bella Benson, Chaney Burke, Natalie Burke and Joseph Neilan, as well as her niece and nephew; Sandra Neilan and Frank Neilan.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be employees of Augusta Overhead Door.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, January 8, 2016 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM.
