Obituary


Marilyn A. DiGiacomo, a Woburn resident for fifty years formerly of Medford passed away peacefully January 5, 2017, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was 70 years of age. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Josephine (DiFranco) Mastrangelo.

Marilyn was raised and educated in Medford and was a 1964 graduate of Medford High School. She worked for many years in the medical billing field. Her greatest joy was her family and nothing made her happier than to spend time with her children and especially her adored grandson. Marilyn loved her vacation time and whenever possible she was always enjoying a cruise with friends and family. Her favorite destination being Bermuda. She was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Tina DeLorme and her husband Allan of Littleton, and Tracy Jackson of Dracut. She was the loving grandmother of Brett Jackson of Dracut. Longtime companion of the late Clay Collins who passed away last June. Dear friend and former wife of James DiGiacomo. Cherished sister of Vito Thomas Mastrangelo of Virginia. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Monday, January 9th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 thru 6 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marilyn's memory to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House c/o VNA of Middlesex-East, 607 North Ave., Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
