Laconia-----Ann S. McGuinness 87, formerly of Rolling Road died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Laconia Rehabilitation and Nursing with her loving family by her side.
Ann was born April 10, 1929 in Stamford, Connecticut daughter to the late James S. and Hazel J. Miller. She worked as a cashier for many years at Palmer Super Market in Connecticut before moving to Laconia following her husband's retiermnet. She then later worked in the gift shop both on and off the ship for the M/S Mount Washington in the Weirs for many years. Ann also worked for a number of years for Metz Electric Company, National Power and Wilcom Corporation.
Ann enjoyed her time on the M/S Mount Washington and liked to paint in her free time. Above all she truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Ann is survived by her three sons, Thomas McGuinness of Laconia, John William McGuinness and his wife, Susan of Stamford, CT and Daniel Patrick McGuinness of St. Augustine, FL; eleven grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and an honorary daughter, Donna Migiano of Danbury, CT. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband William H. McGuinness in 2006.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Andre Bessette Parish- Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
Burial will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH where she will be reunited with her husband.
