Matthew J. Myers, 27, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Matt was born, raised and educated in Methuen, MA and was a graduate of Methuen High School. Matt most recently worked as a driver for World Courier. In his free time Matt was an avid runner and was proud of his work as a personal trainer. He was a devoted Celtics fan. Matt was a caring and kind soul with an infectious appetite for life. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He leaves his loving parents, Michael and Doris (Dufresne) Myers of Methuen, MA, his brother Nicholas “Nick” Myers and sister Tiffany Myers, both of Methuen, MA, grandparents, Richard Myers of S. Lawrence, MA, Leon Dufresne of Dracut, MA, and Carol Dufresne of Lowell, MA, aunts and uncles, Kevin and Paula Myers of Atkinson, NH, Donna Myers of Methuen, MA and Cheryl and Daniel Taschereau of S. Lawrence, MA, close girlfriend Christy Wood of Haverhill, MA as well as many cousins and countless beloved friends.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 8th at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 9th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
