SOMERSET…Rose A. (Lauzon) Deschenes, 103, of Somerset passed away December 28, 2016 at her home.
She was the widow of Louis Deschenes.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Jean B. & Elise (Fortin) Lauzon.
Mrs. Deschenes was a communicant of St. Bernadette Parish, Fall River, was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Women’s Guild and was very active while in that parish. She also worked the election polls.
Survivors include her son, Louis E. Deschenes and his wife Mary Susan of Bothek, Washington, her daughter, Suzanne B. Urban and her husband Vincent of Bristol, RI, 5 grandchildren: John, Elise, Danielle, & Katie Deschenes and Jennifer McSparran, 4 great grandchildren: Max, Luke, Kialee, and Aden, several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Fred & Eli Lauzon and grandmother of the late Vincent Urban, Jr. & Michael Urban.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 8 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Bernadette’s Parish, 529 Eastern Ave, Fall River. Interment will be private
