Panto, Freda G. (Taskunas), age 96, of Dover, MA died at Ledgewood Bay, an Assisted Living Community in Milford, NH, on December 25, 2016.
Freda was born on February 24, 1920 in Lawrence, MA, daughter of the late Vincent and Leokadija Taskunas. She was raised and educated at the Catholic Schools in Lawrence, MA. After graduating, Freda was employed by Robert (Roby) Meier as a bookkeeper in Lawrence, MA, and later worked for the Arlington Trust Company also as a bookkeeper.
Freda married Joseph S. Panto in 1952 and moved to Dover, MA, where they raised two children, Leslie and Paula. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, Freda loved to collect recipes and enjoyed cooking and learning about food.
Freda is survived by her husband, Joseph S. Panto, of Dover, MA and her two beloved daughters, Leslie F. Bulriss and her husband Scott E. of Nashua, NH, and Paula P. Rose and husband David A. of Brookline, NH. Freda is also survived by her cousin, Mary H. Fugere of N. Andover, MA.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. Needham, on Friday, December 30, at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass in Most Precious Blood Church in Dover at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Thursday in the funeral home from 5-8pm. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Dover.
