Jane D. (Casey) Christy, of Franklin, formerly of Medfield and West Roxbury, December 3, 2016.
Born in Roslindale to the late Henry and Hazel (Morrison) Casey. Beloved wife of Donald Christy, Sr. for 57 years. Treasured mother to Karen and her husband Christopher Warren of Franklin, Donald Christy and his partner Julie of Bellingham and Katherine and her husband Commander William Schultz of Panama Beach City, Fla.
Cherished Grandmother of Julia Warren of Brookline, Max Warren of South Boston, Caroline Schultz and Olivia Schultz. Jane leaves a sister Mary Casey, a brother Gerald Casey and was predeceased by Robert Casey, John Casey and Ellen Fitzpatrick. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jane dedicated her life to family and friends and their happiness. She enjoyed any activity that involved or revolved around them. She also enjoyed bowling, her woman's club, Whist and activities with friends she made at the Franklin Senior Center. Jane had a smart wit and a warm, caring smile that will be remembered by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday Dec. 8th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM.
Her interment will be held privately.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 3-7PM at the funeral home.
The Christy Family wants to extend appreciation to Dana Farber of Milford, Salmon Hospice of Milford, and Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough for their care and compassion during this last year.
