Robert “Bob A Lou” N. Croteau 58, of Short St. died Wednesday, December 21, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer. He was the loving companion of Maria Hereth. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Robert and Lucille (St. Germain) Croteau. Mr. Croteau worked in the maintenance department of North Hill in Needham for many years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed camping, fishing, the Woodstock Fair, and watching his son Jarrod race at Seekonk Speedway. He also loved his beloved dog Caesar who was a great comfort to him. Mr. Croteau was a lifelong, diehard Patriots and Red Sox fan. Besides his loving companion Maria, he is survived by his son Jarrod Croteau and his wife Tina of Woonsocket, a daughter Stephanie Roman and her husband Joey of Woonsocket, two stepchildren; Joshua and Jennifer, eight grandchildren; Jesse, Justin, Dustin, Cody, Kyle, Haylee, Jordan, and Jaedyn, a great granddaughter, Isabella, one brother, Brian Croteau, and three sisters; Debrah Williams, and Linda and Shirley Croteau all of Woonsocket.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 5-7 PM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with a prayer service beginning at 6:45. Other services are private.
