On December 19th Jeanette went gently into that good night.
Beloved Mother of Jamie Murphy and Lauren Johnston of Needham.
Proud Grandmother (“Nonnie) to Daniel and Paige Johnston & Ryan and Kyle Carroll. Sister of Steven Bertacchini. Almost as important in her life, were her dogs Zoey and Onx and her bird, Andrew of 24yrs.
He was the love of her life and she had the holes in her shirts to prove it.
We will always remember Jeanette for her confidence, directness and drive.
She lived by the adage, “You don’t ask, you don’t get!”.
A true entrepreneur with a passion for marketing.
We will never forget her professional presence of 30 years in the Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury real estate markets.
(“The Pumpkin Lady” & “The Condo Queen”). We will surely miss her delicious culinary skills and her amazing personalized Send-Out-Cards that she created with love.
In June, Jeanette began her battle with lung cancer. We want you to know she was strong and positive throughout her final days.
She was surrounded by her friends and family each and every day which is all she truly desired.
Though, at times, a hard person to live with, she will be a very hard person to live without.

at the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury, from 4:00 to 6:00PM (5:30 service) followed by food and spirits at The West On Centre restaurant (diagonally across street).
