Gilford-----Paul E. Daniel, 86, of Gilford, NH, died December 8, 2016 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Daniel was born on June 10, 1930 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, son to the late Alfred and Irene (Bousquet) Daniel. He attended St. Anne's Grammar School and Lawrence High School, later earning his bachelor’s degree at University of Alaska. Paul was an Airforce veteran and was very proud of his service to his country. He worked for Avco Textron Company in Wilmington, MA for a number of years and retired in 1985 from Wang Labs in Lowell, Ma where he was a Manager in the Central Security Office.
Paul enjoyed cross country skiing at Gunstock Mountain and was an avid boater for many years on Lake Winnipesaukee. He belonged to Winter Harbor Yacht Club and served as its Commodoreand Board member for several years. He attended Lady of The Lakes Church in Lakeport and with its closing became a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church.
Mr. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 57 Years, Rita (Desilets) Daniel of Gilford, his brother, Gerald Daniel and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10:30am at St. Andre Bessette Parish-Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia,NH.
Burial will be at a later date.
