Obituary

Mr. Charles R. Beaulieu, of Taunton, died peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, December 7, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice T. (Dusseault) Beaulieu. He was born 87 years ago in Brockton, the son of the late Oswald and Caroline (Johnson) Beaulieu. He was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School. Charles received his Bachelor’s Degree from Bridgewater State College, and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He was a Taunton resident for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an Auditor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 20 years. Previously, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, receiving the Korean Service Medal with 3 Stars, among many medals and commendations. Charles served in the Air Force for 20 years where he attained the rank of Major, and retired in 1971. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and loved animals. He also enjoyed playing golf and visiting the Raynham Dog Track.

He leaves: 2 sons: Thomas J. Beaulieu and Eric J. Beaulieu, both of Taunton; 3 daughters: Marie Manning and her husband, Daniel of Braintree, Ellen M. Russell and her husband, Michael of Taunton, and Paula M. Karol of Edgartown; 7 grandchildren: Allyce Sullivan, Jeanine Bressette, Brian Manning, Jeanne Manning, Juliann Manning, Kevin Beaulieu and James Russell; 4 great grandchildren: Cayden, Liam, Eloise, and Alice, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral home, 467 Bay Street, on Saturday, December 10, at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
