Obituary

LEICESTER: Joseph C. Usher 64, of Green St., died Tuesday, Dec. 6 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Brenda A. (Nicoletti) Usher, his son J.Anthony Usher of Leicester. He is predeceased by a son David A. Usher in 2008. He also leaves his three brothers Arthur Usher and his wife Gene of Tinmouth, Vt., Edward Usher and his wife Gail of Auburn and Thomas Usher and his wife Kathleen of Brownsville, Me., three sisters Marjorie Powell and her husband Ronald of Poland Springs, Me., Elizabeth Chase and her husband Barry of Oakham and Susan Bergman and her husband Donald of Leicester, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers Leroy and James Usher.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Leroy D. and Marjorie (Skeates) Usher, III and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and attended Becker Junior College. He later served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Joe was a plumber at Tufts University in Grafton for the past 28 years. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed long weekends with his family in Maine. He was a very happy and charismatic man.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 970025, Boston, Ma. 02297-0025.
