Zita H. Bondaryk (Hopkins) age 64 of Canton passed away December 5th, 2016 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Born and raised in Milton, she graduated from Milton High School. She previously lived in Dorchester and has lived in Canton since 1993. She worked for over 30 years as a Sales Representative for Verizon before retiring and was a member of the CWA (Communication Workers of America). After retirement she worked for Fiddleheads in Canton and Leni’s Textiles in Canton in Customer Service. Zita was devoted to her family and enjoyed yard sales, consignment shopping, watching the birds in her yard and going to Cape Cod. Beloved wife of John M. Mother of Melissa B. Garza and her husband James of San Antonio, TX, Michael J. Bondaryk and his wife Yasemin Schatz of San Diego, CA and Susan K. Mula and her husband Joseph of Colchester, VT. Sister of Johanna Hopkins of Wake Forest, N.C., Charles Hopkins and his wife Beatrice of Foxboro, John Hopkins and his wife Kerry of Whitman, Julie White of S. Yarmouth and the late Thomas Hopkins. Grandmother of Dominic and Amelia Garza. Daughter of the late Charles E. and Alice Hopkins. Step-daughter of Marion Hopkins of Marshfield. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Saturday morning at 10. Burial private. The family requests that those attending the wake, please bring a token or memory of something that represents Zita.
