Obituary

Raymond A. Holt passed away at the age of 77 at his home in Dummer, NH on December 3, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Raymond was born on November 15, 1939 in Milan, NH, the son of Hazel Hawkins and Arnold Holt. He attended Milan Grammar School and Berlin High School. He joined the Marine Corps at the age of 18 and was an active member of the Marine Corps League. Raymond was a logger, construction worker and later became the owner of Holt Well Drilling Company after working in coordination with Jaswell Well Drilling. He was an Elder in the Word of God Christian Church in Dummer. He was a committed, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and godfather. He dearly loved his family and had a caring and giving heart toward all. He also trusted and loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ knowing he’d be leaving this life to go to his eternal home prepared for him by his Lord.

Raymond married his childhood sweetheart, Lorna Diane Stiles on July 30th, 1960. They had four children, Melinda married to Steve Enman, Christopher married to Heidi Rand, Julie Glover and Timothy. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Daniel, Luke and Ethan Enman, Whitney and husband Benjamin Lewis, Meagan, Sadie and Timothy Glover; great grandchildren Owen McDowell and Rebecca Lewis; sisters Eunice Fontaine, Janice Corcoran, Beverly Kennard, Elaine Smith, Linda Tennis, Deanna Bryant; brother Ira Holt; great-great niece Akira Miller; mother-in-law Lorna Stiles; brother-in-law Duane Stiles and wife Linda; many, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Timothy and brothers Clyde, Harlan and Edward.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 9, 2016 at 1 PM at the Word of God Christian Church in Dummer, NH. Interment will be in the Willis Cemetery in Dummer. Food and fellowship will follow at the Dummer Town Hall. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
