JUNE REHARD, 80, passed away on December 4, 2016.
She was a retired teacher with Jefferson County Public Schools and a member of the Kentucky State Teachers Union. June began her teaching career at Western Middle School and retired from teaching at Shawnee High School. In her younger years, she was an early front runner in women’s fast pitch softball where she played in many Leagues and Tournaments. She was an avid sports fan and proud to be an Army and Marine Corps veteran.
Preceding her in death was her mother, Mary Lacefield, her sister, Peggy Martin, brothers, Randall and Donald McNutt, nephew, Brian McNutt and great nephew Dustin McNutt.
Survivors include her brothers, Tommy McNutt and Larry Martin (Alma); sisters, Della Harshfield, Vera Rogers, Sue Nash and Doris Baxter (David) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with cremation to follow.
Visitation will be from 1- 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
