FALL RIVER… Helen M. (Linhares) Amaral aka Helen Alexander, 52, of Fall River died Thursday at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Louis Alexander and Shirley (Linhares) Mello and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Helen enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include 2 sons: Michael Amaral of Fall River and Dylan Alexander of New Bedford, 2 daughters: Melissa Amaral Jose of Fall River and Jessica Melody of Berkley, 3 brothers: Louis Alexander, Jr. of Fall River, Darryll Hutchins of Swansea, Justin Travis of NH, 5 sisters: Tammy Freitas of Fall River, Debra Cordeiro LaCombe of Taunton, Jodi Hutchins of Fall River, Michelle Alexander of Fall River, Lauren Travis of Barnet, VT, 2 grandchildren: Nehven Jose and Kyren Jose, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Michael Alexander and Edmund Alexander.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 7:30 PM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 - 7:30 PM
