Ingrid Peters
Augusta, Ga. – Mrs. Ingrid Peters, 75, entered into rest on December 1, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. She is survived by her loving daughter Margaret Prater, her grandson Aaron Cliatt, her granddaughter Allison Prater as well as her stepchildren Larry Peters (Hope), Kevin Peters (Diana), Steven Peters, David Peters, Cheryl Kreider, and their families.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Peters and her son Michael Amancio.
Ingrid was born in Munich, Germany on March 2, 1941 and grew up in Hiesling, Germany. She came to the United States in 1963. Ingrid was the owner of Peters Machine and Welding in Beech Island, SC. She was beloved by her family and many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a hard-working, trustworthy, loving person who was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and loved taking care of them. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, traveling, and helping others. Ingrid had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son.
