Frances H.K. Yoong passed away on Thursday December 1, 2016. She was born in Singapore on October 29, 1937. She is survived by her husband Matthias, son Benedict and daughter-in-law Casey Yoong, daughter Jessica and son-in-law Brian Tasto, and granddaughters Audrey Yoong and Lexi Tasto.
Frances was educated at the Catholic University of Dublin in Ireland. She received her Masters degree in chemistry at the University of Nebraska. She worked as a chemist at Pfizer Chemical Company in Kansas City, a mathematician at Computer Science Corporation in Point Mugu, and a program analyst at the Ventura County Government Center.
In her retirement, Frances was a volunteer for various church organizations and was an active member of YLI (Young Ladies' Institute) at Our Lady of the Assumption parish. Frances devoted her love to her family, friends, and God.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held from 4 to 8pm Thursday December 8, 2016 in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street Ventura, where a Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday December 9, 2016 in Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 3175 Telegraph Road Ventura. Interment will immediately follow Mass in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road Ventura.
