Douglas L. Harrington, 43

Dateline: North Attleboro, MA

Douglas L. Harrington, age 43, of North Attleboro, formerly of Mansfield passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016.

Born in Attleboro, MA on May 24, 1973, he was a loving son of Leslie E. (Reed) Harrington of North Attleboro and Phillip L. Harrington, Jr. and his wife Ann of Mansfield.

Doug grew up in Mansfield and was a 1992 graduate of Mansfield High School. He also received a certificate in Pipefitting and was a member of the Pipefitters Local Union 537 in Boston.

Doug had been employed through McLabor Sources, Inc. in Needham and formerly worked at Mofford Concrete Construction in Stoughton and at the Fresh Catch in Mansfield.

While growing up, he, along with his family attended St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Mansfield. Doug enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid New England sports fan, a longtime Dallas Cowboys fan and loved coaching and attending his sons sporting events.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted son Theodore G. “Rock” Harrington and Theodore’s mother Audra Gilpatrick of Mansfield. He was the dear brother of Christopher L. Harrington and his wife Kristen of Mansfield. He was the adoring uncle of Nicholas, Allyson and Matthew Harrington all of Mansfield and Athina Evans of Foxboro. He was he cherished nephew of Ronald Reed and his wife Suzanne of CA and Thea Sarro and her husband Will of Florida. He is also survived by several loving great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend graveside services on Thursday, December 8th at 11:00 A.M. at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 7th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, Doug’s family would prefer that donations in his memory be made to the Theodore G. Harrington Educational Fund, care of Mansfield Bank, 80 North Main St., Mansfield, MA 02048
