Debra A. Turner
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, November 30, 2016, Mrs. Debra Aldrich Turner, 63, wife of 37 years to Mr. Gary Turner.
Debra was a native of Augusta, GA and graduated from Butler High School. She worked in Administrative positions for Gracewood State School and Hospital, Dr. Edward Survey at his infertility clinic and also with Health Success Physical Therapy in Augusta. Debra was a loving and compassionate person who enjoyed helping people. She dearly loved her family and found great joy in spending all the time she could with them just visiting, traveling, family vacations and even just taking to them on the phone. Debra loved her grandson Asher who called her “TT” and her daughter Jessica keeping close to them even though they were some distance away at times. She loved sitting on her back porch on sunny days watching humming birds and her dogs play in the backyard. She loved animals and enjoyed the company of pets her whole life especially kittens.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughter: Jessica Lind Turner of Columbus, MS; grandson: Charles Asher Martin of Jamestown, TN; mother: Beverly Aldrich of Martinez, GA; brothers: Richard Aldrich, Jr. (Janis) of Surprise, AZ and Brian Aldrich of Augusta; sisters: Janice Harrell (Dean) of Martinez and Laurie Wood (Graham) of Martinez; brother-in-law: Joe G. Turner (Joan) of Hephzibah, GA; many nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family members.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society in Columbus, MS.
