Carol Ann Montgomery, 59, of Sandown, NH, passed Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a sudden illness. Carol was born March 26, 1957 in Berwyn, Maryland and was a daughter of Gordon and Helen (Kelly) McClung. She was raised and educated in Charlestown, MA and had been a resident of Sandown for the past 14 years. She had previously resided in Billerica, MA.
Carol was a loving wife, sister aunt and friend, but was especially the loving mother of her son Michael. She enjoyed exercise and living a healthy lifestyle. Carol also loved summering at Lake Ossipee, boating and swimming.
Members of the family include her husband of 40 years, Michael S. Montgomery, Sr., her son, Michael S. Montgomery, Jr., her mother, Helen McClung, 11 siblings and their spouses, Mary (Richie) King, Dorothy Baird, Peggy (Tom) Mullin, Bobby McClung, Michael (Liz) McClung, Anne Marie Thomas, Debbie (Jim) Celeste, Billy (Michelle) McClung, Diane McClung, Paul (Karen) McClung and Kimberly Mitchell, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her father, she was predeceased by a sister, Middy Fay.
Calling hours were Sunday December 4, 2016 from 1 to 5 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at 10 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 26 Crystal Avenue in Derry. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the SPCA.
