Obituary

Robert Wilfred Lizzie, 83, passed peacefully November 19th surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Berlin, NH on August 2nd, 1933 the son of the late Alcide and Florence (Leblanc) Lizzie. He dedicated 20 years to the National Guard, served two years’ active duty in the army, and six years in the army reserves. Bob worked sales and trucking for a Wholesale Distribution company until his retirement in 1996 and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus since 1967. Bob enjoyed his summers camping at Littlefield Beaches in Maine, fishing, building campfires, and spending time with his family. He was known to show his love through wise crack remarks and playful banter. The more he teased you the more he loved you. He spent the last six winters in Safety Harbor Fla. He enjoyed getting together with friends relaxing, playing cards, and listening to the beautiful sounds of his wife singing in the background.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lise (Belleville)Lizzie; his cherished children, Jerry and husband Greg Xiggoros, Nancy and husband Dennis Arguin, and Debbie and husband Wayne Gowen; he was also the proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Kiera and Krysta Arguin and Alyssa Gowen; brother Alcide Lizzie, Jr. and wife Virginia; sisters Shirley Gemmiti and companion Butch Bouchard and Rita Croteau and husband Emile; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Albert Lizzie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 6, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the Knights of Columbus, Council 506, P.O. Box 96, Berlin, NH 03570.
