Rhode Island – Lorraine A. Cruz, age 80 of Fairhaven, formerly of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of Alvaro and Anna Duarte, Lorraine worked for New Bedford High School in the custodial department for many years until her retirement. She was devoted mother and grandmother to her loving family.
Her family includes 5 children: Robert J. Cruz from Orange City, Fla, Michael D. Cruz of New Bedford, Russell A. Cruz of Madrid, Spain, Julie-Ann Branco of Hudson, Fla and Ann-Marie McElroy of New Bedford; as well as 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several cousins.
Her funeral will be Saturday at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 33 Braley Rd, East Freetown, MA 02717, beginning at 12:00 P.M. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
