New Bedford – Kelly A. Poitras, 39, of New Bedford passed away at home on November 24, 2016.
Ms. Poitras was born in New Bedford, daughter of Anibal Alvarez and the late Diane (Poitras) Curtis, and resided in the city most of her life. She was employed as a cook at various local restaurants.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughter: Ashley A. Poitras of New Bedford; her sons: David J. Lamere and Jarred T. Lamere, both of New Bedford; her brother: Shane M. Poitras of New Bedford; her grandchildren: Alexiana and Amari Azor, both of New Bedford; her uncle and godfather: Paul J. Poitras of New Bedford; 1 niece; and 1 nephew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Visitation at the church 8:00-9:00 A.M. prior to the mass.
