Obituary

Analisa R. Smith-Perez, 30, of Jamaica Plain, November 27, 2016.

Beloved daughter of Vivian Perez and Dana Smith. Loving big sister to Alex and Adam, and admired niece, cousin and friend to countless others. Analisa lived a life of purpose and service to others as an attorney serving the needs of immigrants and refugees. A proud graduate of Boston Latin High School, Columbia University, and Suffolk Law School, Analisa worked as an attorney for Northeast Legal Aid in Lynn representing unaccompanied minors in immigration proceedings, and most recently as an Immigration lawyer at Araujo and Fisher. Her passion was giving voice to the voiceless, and she was very active in the Immigration Lawyers Association and the Hispanic Attorneys Association.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to pay tribute to her life at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Friday, Dec. 2 from 5-8pm. A ceremony of reflection will take place at 7:30pm. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, 105 Chauncy St., #901, Boston, MA 02111.
