Obituary

NATICK: Elinor T. (Connerty) Theriault, age 85, a longtime Natick resident, died peacefully on Monday evening, November 21, 2016. She was the wife of the late Roger J. Theriault.

Born in Boston and raised and educated in Lexington and Somerville, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Grace (Keefe) Connerty. Elinor was a graduate of St. John’s School in Cambridge, and later studied to be proficient in short hand and with a comptometer, and became employed in the office at Sears Roebuck in Boston.

Elinor and Roger were married in 1950 and settled in Natick. She stopped working when her eldest arrived and enjoyed keeping a warm and loving home for her growing family. Elinor returned to the workforce when the children were teenagers, lastly working in the Babson College Alumni Office until her retirement. Although in failing health for several years, Ellie kept in touch with her extended family and many friends, and especially relished visits with her daughter, son in law and two grandsons.

She was the devoted mother of Kathleen DiPanfilo and her husband Paul of North Reading, the late Richard and Paul Theriault, and James Theriault; the beloved Nana of Kyle and Casey DiPanfilo; and the loving sister of Edward Connerty and the late James and Raymond Connerty. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Denise Theriault, her children, John and Jennifer; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Tuesday, November 29th at 9:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Linus Church, 119 Hartford Street, Natick, at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, 4 – 7PM. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Elinor’s memory to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451.
