Leonel A. Santos, 92 of Taunton, passed away on November 19, 2016 at Life Care Center in Raynham.
He was the beloved husband of Beatriz F. ( Fernandes) Santos.
Born in Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Muris) Santos.
Before retirement in 1983 Mr. Santos was employed with Reed & Barton for over 23 years. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Society of Bridgewater, Taunton Sports Club and enjoyed the Bruins, Red Sox and Portuguese soccer games.
Besides his loving wife Beatriz of over 65 years, he is survived by his children, Antonio J. Santos and wife Gail of Raynham, Maria L. Silva and husband Jacinto of Portugal and Fernanda F. Vieira and husband Manuel of Taunton, brother of Sara Santos of NJ , grandfather of Matthew, Michael, Daryl and Daniel, great grandfather of Leanna and Luke and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Luiz Santos, Jose Santos and Maria Almeida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10 am in Annunciation of the Lord Church, Taunton . Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 25th from 4 to 7pm in The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Taunton.
