Rosalba Piro, 94, of Haverhill, passed away on November 20, 2016 at the Penacook Nursing Home in Haverhill, MA.
She was born on December 22, 1921 to the late Donato Silano and the late Filomena (Fortunato) in Villanova del Battista, Italy. Rosalba worked as a cashier in the cafeteria for Bon Secours Hospital for 26 years. Devoted to St. Anthony, she was a communicant at Mt. Carmel Parish for many years. Rosalba had a fond love for gardening.
Rosalba was the devoted mother to her daughter, Paula Paolino and her husband, Dr. Vincent Paolino of Andover, and her son, Frank Piro of Methuen. She was the loving grandmother to Dr. David Paolino and his wife Dr. Celest Austin of San Antonio, TX and James Paolino and his wife Dr. Jacqueline Paolino of Somerville. Rosalba is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Frank Piro.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 6-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Methuen, MA. To honor Rosalba’s wishes, visitation is private. Interment will be held privately at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
