Taunton native Rosalie Catherine Connors, born O’Donnell, died at the Wingate at Norton (Norton, Mass.) on Nov. 17, 2016, after a period of declining health. She was 92. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School, Connors worked as a telephone operator for more than three decades. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Women’s Guild, Greater Taunton Gaelic Society, Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Queens Daughters. Rosalie was married for 50 years to John J. Connors, who predeceased her in 2000. She had three siblings who also predeceased her: William J. in 2011, Robert L. in 2011, and Janet F. in 1943. She is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews who loved her greatly and will miss her dearly. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton on Tues., Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. Visitation prior from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers, please donate to hospice.
