Obituary


Anthony A. Rutkosky, Jr. a Woburn resident for over fifty years formerly of Haverhill passed away peacefully, November 16, 2016, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading following a brief illness. He was 89 years of age. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Margaret M. (McGowan) Rutkosky. Born in Haverhill he was the cherished son of the late Anthony and Lillian (Lucas) Rutkosky.

Anthony was raised and educated in Haverhill. He honorably served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII and also served in United States Navy following the war. He worked for over forty years as a paper merchant with the Lindenmyer Monroe Paper Co. where he retired from as Vice President. Anthony enjoyed and cherished spending time at his home on Cape Cod where the family would gather and enjoy each others company creating many truly special memories. Anthony's greatest joy was his role as a grandfather. Nothing made him happier than to see his grandchildren and spend time with them. They made him so proud.
Anthony is survived by his children, James Rutkosky and his wife Linda of PA, Ann McKillop and her husband Michael of Salem, NH, and Janet Rutkosky of Andover. He was the loving grandfather of Alexandra and John Rutkosky, Alison and Nicole McKillop.

A memorial service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, November 19th, at 1 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment services will be private. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Anthony's memory to the Special Olympics Massachusetts, 512 Forest St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
