Stella Degrange 88, of Ethel St. died November 7, 2016 at the Phillip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late Normand Degrange with whom she had been married for fifty years. Born in Blackstone, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rita (Guilbeault) Careau. Stella worked for AT Cross Co. for over twenty years. She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church.
Stella is survived by her daughter-in-law Bernadette Degrange of Blackstone, two granddaughters, Jennifer Lapio and her husband Christopher of Uxbridge and Jaime Whitner of Blackstone, a brother Edward Careau of N. Smithfield and four great-grandchildren, Amber, Conner, Trinity, and Aria.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Theresa’s Church in Blackstone. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 PM.
