NATICK: Dorothy M. Mahaney, age 71, passed away at Kathleen Daniel in Framingham on Thursday, November 3, 2016, after a period of declining health.
Born at the Murphy Army Hospital in Waltham, she was the seventh of eight children born to Marion L. (Fay) and LTC Charles E. Mahaney, USA Ret. Dorothy was raised and educated in Natick where she was a 1964 graduate of Natick High School. She continued her education at Aquinas Secretarial School.
Dorothy was employed for several years with Best Pak and later with Roche Bros. in Natick. She lived briefly in Marlborough prior to settling in Hudson.
Dorothy is survived by her brothers Charles E. “Bob” of Natick, Richard D. “Dick” of Framingham, and Dennis J. of Albuquerque, NM; sisters Pat of Hopkins, SC, Marian “Mandy” and her husband Raymond Fisher of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Ann K. of Holliston; her sister-in-law, Judy A. (Cutter) of Duxbury; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother, John M., and sister-in-law, Jacqueline A. (O’Donnell).
The Mahaney Family would like to thank the care-givers at Marlboro Hospital and especially Barbara and Meghan from Advocates, Inc.
Her funeral will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common on Thursday, November 10th at 12:00PM. Relatives and friends may gather with the Mahaney Family beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow the service at Saint Patrick Cemetery, Natick.
