Mello, Susan Marie, of Weymouth and Milton, October 27. Beloved daughter of Genevieve G. (Boland) Mello and the late Edward Mello; loyal sister to Joanne M. Pratt of Florida, Edward J. Mello of Texas and the late Nancy (Mello) Lancaster. Also survived by 13 nieces and nephews she adored. Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth’s Church, Milton, Wednesday morning at 10. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave, Milton Tuesday 4pm to 7pm. Raised in Milton, graduate of Notre Dame Academy Hingham and Salve Regina University, Newport, RI. Originally an elementary school teacher at St. Francis of Assisi School in Braintree, Susan worked as a paralegal for two prominent Boston law firms for more than 20 years while living in Boston’s North End. For the last six years, Susan returned to her roots caring for others by serving the elderly and memory impaired as an Activities Coordinator for Cooperative Elders and, most recently, for Harbor House, Hingham. Susan was a caring, devoted and faithful daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was committed to her Catholic faith.
